Weekend at Lake Lugano

This post is long overdue, but better late than never, right? I’m here to report back post-vacation and to let you know that I successfully unplugged. I have tried to make more of a conscious effort to not be on social media while on vacation. I mean I still do post on Snapchat and InstaStories while away, but I try not to worry about posting on my blog or Instagram feed while away. I try to unplug as much as possible. If you count my snapchat story as work then I probably only put in about 1 hour of work a day while I was away. It felt so refreshing to just ignore everything else. At first, I had a bit of anxiety about not getting back to my emails or answers messages, but I pushed through that and there was nothing that couldn’t wait.
I have been to Lake Lugano in Switzerland numerous times, but this was my first visit where I was able to enjoy the sun and water more than ever. It was a very warm and enjoyable weekend spent with my sister, Laila (lifewithlaila.com). I spent time sleeping in, hanging out with my sister, eating everything, sunbathing, taking photos, flying my drone, paragliding, and much much more. As much as I love getting dressed up and connecting with the Internet, things get daunting. The monotony of life can set in. Having a very clean, clear break is such a recharger and I couldn’t recommend it more. Even if it is just a long weekend away. I love living in London, but it is so nice to escape the city and take a break.

I really just loved the simplicity of everything. You’re slightly removed from the rest of the world, and you’re with people that matter It’s such a relaxing feeling. But I am glad to be back. Sorry, this took ages for me to post, but I am back and will be posting regularly again. I’m a creature of habit and thrive on routine, so it’s nice to be getting back into the schedule. I loved my time at Lake Lugano and it might be a while before I visit again, but I highly recommend visiting. It is not as well know and Lake Como, but even more beautiful. Have you been to Lake Lugano before? Let me know in the comments below!
