Last week I was invited to take a sneak peek at Asia De Cuba’s new menu. This November they are launching a new festive season menu. I was fortunate enough to try a 9-course tasting menu prepared by the Executive Chef Luis Pous.

All the dishes were beautifully presented and had a fusion of flavors from the Far East to Cuba. Asia de Cuba has been around for years but I have only come to hear about it recently. The restaurant is located inside the St. Martins Hotel. The restaurant launches new menus about twice a year and for this year festive season Cuban-born chef Luis Pous flew into Asia De Cuba’s London location to launch the new dishes. In my opinion, the menu has a balance of both Asian and Cuban elements and the dishes range from salads to ceviche to dumplings.

The new menu launched on November 5th and is now available to the public.
This amazing new menu includes the following dishes:

  • Mexican DoughnutsAsia De Cuba New Menu Launch | London Restaurant Review
But my favorite dish of the night was the Barrio Chino BBQ which comes with a 24-hour short rib brisket mole, in wasabi sauce. The meat was perfectly cooked and each bite made me want more!
Despite being stuffed, I still saved room for dessert. My two favorites as the Tres Leches cake and the Mexican Doughnuts. The Tres Leches cake was creamier than cream and I was super greedy and also had plenty of Mexican doughnuts with Carmel sauce. The Mexican doughnuts were a crowd favorite and supposedly the best selling dessert on their menu.
At first glance, the prices on their menu might seem a bit pricey but for a central London hotel, it is pretty decently priced. Also when you take into account the quality of the food and huge portion sizes, Asia de Cuba is the perfect restaurant for a night out.
