I love pizza and pasta, actually let’s be real I love any and all carbs, but I especially love them when they are served to me as Italian food! I have recently noticed the buzz of people sharing photos and tweets about @broccoli_uk and I was lucky enough to be asked to come and try out their awesome food at their cute little Soho location. I have walked past Broccoli pizza and pasta quite a few times and just thought it was another cheap Italian takeaway that didn’t really put quality into their food, but wow was I wrong. If you are ever in Soho and see Broccoli make sure you don’t make the same assumptions that I did and go in and try out their amazing food!

Broccoli Pizza and Pasta only has one location in London, but they actually have 57 sites all around the world and they are planning to open 100 more soon! I always get excited seeing small business blossom into larger companies. With such amazing food, I bet they will be a huge hit and have tons more store soon enough. This casual dine in or takeaway store provides high-quality Italian food at an affordable price and they are now listed on Uber Eats so amazing food delivered to your door (I’m in)! Aside from takeaway, they do have seating downstairs, but at first glance, it doesn’t look like it. I had to ask the staff if I could sit downstairs. There is plenty of room to sit downstairs, but you’ve just got to go down the small spiral staircase to get to the lower level.

Broccoli Pizza and Pasta’s concept can easily be described as the Subway for Italian food. There are set dishes but you can pick from an array of different toppings and garnishes to make any kind of dish you would like.  They have quite a few different pizzas and pasta to choose from as well as pasta salads, salads, and soups. Oh, I forgot to mention they do breakfast as well! I didn’t get a chance to try out their breakfast menu, but it all looked quite appetizing! They also have quite a few salads that looked really good, but I was all about the carbs and decided to get a pasta and medium sized pizza, don’t judge. I went for the BBQ chicken pizza and the prawn pasta, yes I got two dishes because I love Italian food and any form of carbs!

The staff were so attentive and helpful and really knew what to recommend. I really appreciated them guiding me through the menu since it was my first time. Sometimes I do feel that staff are more friendly to bloggers because they know they are going to get a review, but nonetheless, they were super nice and really informative. The food was enjoyable and I really loved how it was made fresh right in front of my eyes and in front of me in minutes. Now I have pretty high standards for pizza, but for takeaway pizza, this place wasn’t bad at all. I would say it ranks pretty highly as far as takeaways are concerns. The pasta was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the pizza was nice a cheesy. It is definitely not an upscale Italian restaurant but it is great comfort food and the best part is that they now deliver using Uber Eats!

I quite enjoyed my overall experience at Broccoli and I would 100% go back for a quick pizza or pasta, but it is defiantly got the takeaway feel to it and not really even casual dining. I would say this is a great place to visit for your lunch break at work or a cheeky takeaway on Sunday night. All in all, I would recommend this place, but I am still very confused as to why it is named broccoli, I think it confuses the general public as to what type of food they will be getting.
