Hello Internet!
Today I have a quick review on my new Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. This was my first ever purchase from Charlotte Tilbury and I was excited to go into their flagship store located in Covent Garden. I loved the ambiance and set up of the store, but it was a bit too crowded for my liking. To be fair, I was shopping on a Saturday in Covent Garden so crowds should be expected at that time. Regardless of the crowds, I was pleasantly surprised by the range of products within Charlotte Tilbury. At first glance I fell in LOVE with the packaging. I am a sucker for great packaging and most of Charlotte Tilbury’s products are packaged in gold, one of my favorite colors! Not only was the store stocked with every beauty bloggers make-up dreams, but the sales associates were very friendly as well. When I was asked to be color matched I was helped graciously and once I found my color (Dark 9) I had a browse around the rest of the shop but I resisted buying anything more.
I absolutely loved that this foundation came in such a wide range of colors. There was a range for fair, medium, and dark skin tones. I really loved that there was a perfect color for my skin and there was no need to mix two or more colors to create my perfect color. I also really appreciated that this foundation is not as outrageously priced as some other high end foundations on the market. The foundation costs £29.50 and I really feel that you get what you pay for with this foundation. The foundation has SPF 15, long lasting coverage, and really makes my face looks pore-less, but these are only some of the features that makes this foundation “magic”.
The formula of this foundation also contains Laricyl which comes from a mushroom extract and it is said to be an elixir for longer life and it will improve skin’s firmness and tighten pores. The foundation also contain Hyaluronic Filling Spheres which fill with moisture as they absorb into the skin, which means that this foundation is plumping your skin with water and reversing wrinkles. The final magic ingredient is Vitamin C which of course always does magical things for your skin like giving your skin the ultimate glow.
Now this foundation claims to be full coverage, but I would argue that this foundation is actually medium coverage, but very build-able. I usually use this foundation in conjunction with my MAC concealer and I truly get flawless skin. I would say this foundation does minimize my pores but does not cover up all my hyper pigmentation and marks left from old spots. I definitely have to use a concealer with this foundation to achieve truly flawless coverage, but I do love this foundation for my everyday look. It gives me just enough coverage and it also lasts all day which I really appreciate since I hate touching up my foundation throughout the day. All in all I would recommend this foundations to my friends and readers. I really do love it and after finally trying it I can see why the blogger world is obsessed with it.
