Crispy Calamari Squid Ink | Kerb Camden | Street Food in London
I absolutely love finger food, especially calamari. I have a slight obsession with seafood. Squid Ink at Kerb Camden can make all your calamari dreams come true. For those of you that have never had calamari, you are seriously missing out. Calamari is the culinary term for squid. In my opinion, the best way to eat this delicacy is fried! Squid Ink is an awesome street food vendor found at Kerb Food Market in Camden. Their entire focus is on baby squid. Their squid is fried to perfection, but what I appreciated the most was that they mixed their calamari with picked chili’s, coriander, spring onions, and topped off with an amazing soy and sesame dressing. But wait, it gets even better…Ink offers a selection of pastel mayos for you to dip your calamari into. There is a cream colored one which is their wild garlic. The pink one which is smoked chili and finally the green one is miso.
A few months ago I had the pleasure of attending the WorldWideInstaMeet 14 that took place all around London. Our food tour around London started at the Mondrian Hotel, then we moved on to Borough Market, then on to tea at Fortnum & Mason, and then around 1pm we hit Kerb Market. I have already reviewed Oli Baba’s in a previous blog post, make sure you check it out to get a better feel of the London street food vibe. Much like Old Baba’s, Squid Ink was very friendly and served us their very best squid on a tasting platter. I loved every bite and I am totally going to go back soon for another visit and seconds if not thirds of this amazing squid!
