What is a NoriTaco?
A NoriTaco is a fusion between Japanese and Latin food. It is the perfect balance of flavors that you would expect from a sushi filled taco. The taco part is made from Nori (seaweed) and the stuffing of the taco is filled with fresh Japanese and Latin ingredients. Sugoi JPN is revolutionizing the Latin-Japanese fusion food market with its twist on NoriTacos! Their NoriTacos is a perfect hybrid between a Japanese Nori and a Mexican Taco. The stuffing always starts with a sushi rice base and the toppings include anything from soft shell crab, to fried chicken, to salmon. Check out the three different types of NoriTacos I tried below.

Who is SugoiJPN?
They are a takeaway and delivery kitchen based in London. They have a number of locations popping up around the London area. Their original kitchen was in Bethnal Green, they have now expanded to South Wimbledon and soon to Palmers Green in North London. They are taking and fusing together the best of Latin and Japanese cultures and flavors to make the best new street food concept called NoriTacos! SugoiJPN is now opening new locations every few weeks and they are expanding every month so you might have one in your neighborhood soon!
My visit to the South Wimbledon Location:
I will admit I have had my fair share of NoriTacos so far. I have eaten at SugoiJPN multiple times before at their Bethnal Green location. I picked SugoiJPN as my first ‘eat out’ location in London since before lockdown. They have a takeaway or deliveroo service but you can also sit right outside their shop front at their new location in Merton Abby Mills and enjoy some NoriTacos this summer. It’s a great outdoor location to grab a few drinks and a bite to eat.I was so happy to have NoriTacos again, by far my favourite street food in all of London.
