Festive Cocktails with Gordon’s Gin

Last week I was invited to a Gordon’s Gin event in London. With Christmas just around the corner, I was very keen to learn how to make quick and easy cocktails at home and luckily that’s exactly why Gordon’s has teamed up with World-Class mixologist Jamie Jones to create its “Festive Gin Cocktails”. We learned how to make three classic Gin cocktails that can easily be replicated in your own home and then stored in your fridge to serve later. You will look like the hostess with the most-ess when you have these cocktails ready to go, maximum impact with minimal effort!

Festive Cocktails with Gordon’s Gin

While at the event I also got to take a tour of all 4 botanicals that Gordon’s use to make their Gin. Gordon’s using a combination of four simple botanicals: juniper, Angelica root, licorice, and coriander. Not only did I get to smell and taste all these flavors, the night also included Gin doughnuts, Gin marshmallows and of course tons of Gin cocktails made right in front of me!

Here are the three cocktails I learned how to make:

Hot Gin Punch

INGREDIENTS:

–        40ml Gin

–        100ml cloudy apple juice

–        15ml lemon juice

–        10ml Tio Pepe Sherry

–        20ml sugar syrup

–        Cinnamon

–        Star anise

–        Nutmeg

–        Cloves

–        Butter

METHOD:

Bees Knees

INGREDIENTS:

–        50ml Gin

–        20ml lemon juice

–        15ml honey syrup

–        Egg white

METHOD:

Gin & Tonic

INGREDIENTS:

– 50ml Gordon’s gin

– Freshly bottled tonic

– Cubed ice

– A wedge of lime to garnish

– 1.9 units of alcohol
