Zing Zing Chinese Food
Zing Zing Chinese food is by far the healthiest Chinese food option in London. Their goal is to create the best Chinese takeaway in London and I think they have totally exceeded expectations. They have really changed up the takeaway game in London. They serve up some of the most innovative Chinese foods and all their dishes are completely MSG free. They have taken the traditional Chinese food menu but substitutes some of the heavier ingredients with healthy options like cauliflower or my favorite is sweet potato. Their food is made with great and locally sourced ingredients and there are no added chemicals and best of all you get amazing customer service. To order all you have to do is enter your post code on their website (https://www.zing-zing.co.uk/) or on Uber Eats, order your meal, pay online, the chef at your local zing zing will prepare your meal with the freshest ingredients, and then your Chinese food is delivered straight to your door. It is that easy.
I really love how much attention to detail Zing Zing has paid to popular Chinese dishes, but they have upgraded what we know as typical Chinese dishes. They are quickly expanding and it is great to see such an amazing group of people success in the competitive London food market. They now have locations in Elephant and Castle, Kensal Rise, Kentish Town, and Blackstock Road. No matter where you are if you are in Central London you can get great tasting Chinese takeaway straight to your door in minutes!
Zing Zing has gone GREEN!
I was invited to the press launch event of Zing Zing Green. This was an awesome event filled with foodies, Instagrammers, and journalist all ready to try out the new and exciting vegetarian menu. In the last few years, Zing Zing has been asked to expand their vegetarian and vegan menu. They listened to the feedback and have put together an entirely new menu for the growing Vegetarian and Vegan community in London. They believe they have created the best Vegan and Vegetarian Chinese menu in all pot the UK. The food is all prepared in a vegetarian section of the kitchen and will substitute any of their ingredients to accommodated allergies.
I am truly amazed at how committed this company is to their new menu. Every single main dish on their menu is Vegan-friendly! The main dishes include firecracker cauliflower, sweet sesame tofu, sweet and sour tofu, tofu in black sauce, sweet potato rendang, miso aubergine, and Szechuan aubergine. The best part is that each one of these mains is less than £7!
Starters
The Zing Zing vegetarian Chinese food launch event had so much food to try, but I think some of my favorites were the starters. They served us the vegetable spring rolls, sesame mushroom toast, salt and pepper mushrooms, sweet potato dumplings, and coconut dusted cauliflower. My favorite was the Sesame mushroom toast, it was amazing! It was the take on prawn toast, but of course, it was vegan-friendly. I am not a vegetarian anymore, but this toast would make me definitely make me convert back. It was so hearty that I didn’t even feel like it was a vegetarian dish. I also heard the sweet potato dumplings were a crowd favorite. I got to the event a bit late and they were already out by the time I got there, but I defiantly have to try them next time.
Mains
Every single main dish on their menu is Vegan-friendly! The main dishes include firecracker cauliflower, sweet sesame tofu, sweet and sour tofu, tofu in black sauce, sweet potato rendang, miso aubergine, and Szechuan aubergine. The crowd favorite was the firecracker cauliflower. Again much like the starters, this dish did not leave you lacking the feeling of a protein in a dish. It was perfectly balanced, crunchy, and again made me think I was eating a dish with meat, but it was completely vegan-friendly. My personal favorite from their menu is the sweet potato rendang. They were not serving it at the event but I have tried it before when I had Zing Zing delivered. Honestly, it was the best Chinese vegetarian dish ever!
Dessert
No event is complete without dessert! The Zing Zing Green Launch event did not disappoint when it came to sweet treats. My favorite sweet treat was the peach black tea with lychee bubbles. It was perfectly balanced. It wasn’t overly sweet and it was so refreshing. I have to admit I totally had two whole bottles to myself! Aside from their tea, the Nutella and banana spring rolls are their ultimate dessert. They have taken a typical Chinese spring roll and stuffed it full of Nutella. It is honestly a great wall of chocolate. Be careful when biting into it though as it will likely explode and you might have chocolate all over your face or shirt. They also served cinnamon Chinese donuts and custard that they have clever named
Baonuts! It is a fried milk bun, glazed in sugar and cinnamon, and served with a custard dip!
Honestly, I am completely in awe of their entire menu. There is not one thing on the menu that isn’t delicious and so filling. I cannot wait to get my hands on more of their dishes!
