Korean fried chicken has to be some of my most favorite food in the world. I absolutely love the crispy texture of the chicken mixed with the spicy seasoning. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of dinning at Lime Orange Restaurant right outside of Victoria station. Normally I would have never found this restaurant because it is such a hole in the wall, but thanks to it’s great Trip Advisor reviews I knew I had to check it out.

I absolutely love checking out non-chain restaurants in London, something about this family owned Lime Orange Restaurant made me super intrigued to check out their menu. I have to admit that their menu stayed true to Korean food. Every day I see more and more restaurants popping up in London trying to cover all types of Asian food and in the process they end up muddling flavours and dishes. Lime Orange Restaurant stays true to its Korean roots which means the food is super delicious and the staff are super friendly. All their dishes were delightful, but I especially loved the fried chicken and how spicy their food was.

Here are all the dishes I tried:

  • Soy Chicken – Deep fried chicken wings tossed in our sweet and tangy soy garlic sauce finished with toasted sesame seeds
Soy Chicken

  • Yangyeum Chicken- Deep fried chicken wings tossed in our sweet, sticky chilli sauce with ground nuts sprinkled on top

  • Pa Jeon – Savory Korean pancakes topped with juicy seafood and spring onions served with soy sauce and Apple cider vinegar dip

  • Cucumber Kimchee – Cucumber, Pear marinated with chilli and garlic
  • Salmon Teriyaki – Pan-fried Salmon drenched in our sweet and rich Teriyaki sauce served with Beansprouts

  • Spicy Chicken Egg Noodle – Stir-fried spicy egg noodle with Chicken Bulgogi, onion, pepper, Garlic, Ginger and our specially home-made sauce

I loved every dish. Everything tasted amazing and overall I had a great dinner, but if I had to pick a favorite I would say the Soy and Yangyeum Chicken were my favorite. I am a little biased because I love Korean fried chicken, but I loved how crispy and well flavored their chicken was. It is a must try!

I would highly recommend this restaurant because you get authentic Korean food at a very reasonable price. Also if it is your first time trying Korean food the staff is very helpful and informative advising on the best dishes to try!
