Happy Chinese New Year! I may not be Chinese, but that doesn’t mean I cannot celebrate with food! Zing Zing invited me along with a group of other food bloggers to their event in Kensal Rise to try out the new Chinese New Year Menu! It was absolutely delicious! I am no novice to Zing Zing. I have tried their menu many times and every time it gets better and better. The last time I tried their menu was when they launched Zing Zing Green, their vegetarian and vegan menu. Every time they bring something new to their menu my mouth and my belly are always happy to try it out.
Here are their new dishes for Chinese New Year:
FIREWORK DRAGON BAO – CHINESE NEW YEAR SPECIAL: Korean Fried Chicken Hirata Bun with Mooli, Crispy Green, and Korean Mayo. SERVED WITH A SIDE OF POPPING CANDY TO BRING OUT THOSE FIREWORKS. Just pour some candy over the bao.
MUSHROOM DRAGON BAO – CHINESE NEW YEAR SPECIAL: Korean Fried Mushroom Hirata Bun with Mooli, Crispy Green, and Korean Mayo. SERVED WITH A SIDE OF POPPING CANDY TO BRING OUT THOSE FIREWORKS. Just pour some candy over the bao.
LINDOR MELTED CHOCOLATE WONTONS – This is Lindor Roulette. You could end up with any combination of different flavors – white chocolate, dark chocolate, orange chocolate, almond. We literally have no idea! However, whatever the flavor they all taste amazing!
Just in case you don’t want to try out their new menu for Chinese New Year, then there is always their classic menu item that I am in love with.
Here are a few of my favorites –
My favorite Starter – SESAME MUSHROOM TOAST – Slices of crisp toast, deep filled with fresh mushroom, garlic, and ginger. Served with a sweet chili and lime dipping sauce.
My favorite main – FIRECRACKER CHICKEN – Crunch coated chicken thigh, glazed in our sweet but spicy Korean hot sauce, served with onions, peppers, and dry red chillis.
My favorite dessert – BAONUTS -Chinese Donuts! A fried milk bun, dusted with sugar and cinnamon, served with a custard dip.
